About Ruwendi Wakwella

Ruwendi (a.k.a. Wendy) is a communications manager and content writer based in the ACT.

An ANU alumn, Wendy has specialised in policy research and advocacy – with a keen interest in politics, international relations, and women's rights.

As a native Sri Lankan, she worked in Sri Lanka as a freelance journalist, writing about the plight of women in post-conflict zones.

Having moved from Sydney, Wendy prefers the feeling of community she has experienced in Canberra and has surprised herself at how fond she has grown of the Capital State.

You might catch her at your local watering hole, or getting excited about the next dog she sees on the road in a not-so-subtle-manner.
